We were adopted: May 4 – 10, 2020

Posted on Monday, May 11, 2020

Last week we said a happy farewell to 44 pets! Pets like Tom, Ironwood and Quilt are now living with loving guardians. As we close each week with our adoption successes, our Admissions team begins each week by visiting municipal shelters around the state to admit more at-risk pets into our care. As this pandemic continues to affect our community, we are determined not to allow this health crisis to create a secondary crisis for homeless pets.

If you are interested in opening your heart and home to a homeless pet, please call our Adoption desk at 804-521-1307 or email adoption1@richmondspca.org. Our adoption counselors would be happy to find your perfect canine or feline match.

Please check our website for new information and details related to our planning and related operational changes, as that is where we will be posting updates. This is a fluid situation, and we are planning thoughtfully while also being nimble to make changes as necessary to best protect our community’s pets and the people who love them.
