We were adopted: February 15 – 21, 2021

Posted on Monday, February 22, 2021
Lefty, a cat born with congenital leg abnormalities, is now living in the lap of luxury in his new home.

Our adoption counselors worked hard to send 80 pets to loving, lasting homes this past week! Special adoptions included Taquito, Isla, Kermit and Lefty. Lefty’s guardian sent us a heartwarming update and said, “Lefty has been loving all the head scratches and blankets I have set up for him. He loves sitting on my bed and watching me. He has been such a snuggly cat and a joy to have around.” Thank you for opening your heart and home to this special cat!

If you are interested in adopting a pet, please fill out an adoption survey and then call 804-521-1307 and leave a voicemail with your contact information. During our phone counseling process, interested adopters will be guided to view pets online while speaking with a counselor. We appreciate our community’s patience and are excited to help families find their perfect match!

Please check our website for new information and details related to our planning and related operational changes, as that is where we will be posting updates. This is a fluid situation, and we are planning thoughtfully while also being nimble to make changes as necessary to best protect our community’s pets and the people who love them.
