We Were Adopted: May 30 – June 5, 2022
Thank you to our wonderful supporters who joined us for our Block Party to celebrate 20 years of no kill and for making this adoption week a success! This past week, 33 dogs and 66 cats were united with loving families. We sent home 28 adult dogs during our fee-waived promotion from May 31 to June 4, making space for our transfer team to assist shelters around the region. Still on the search for your next four-legged friend? Make sure to visit our humane center on June 9 to take advantage of our Purr-ride adoption special. In honor of Pridos After 5, presented by Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and VA Pride, we’re bringing the celebration to our humane center by discounting all adult pet adoption fees 50%. We are incredibly grateful for the LGBTQIA+ members of our staff and community, and it’s a joy to celebrate them during Pride Month.
