We Were Adopted: August 26 – September 1, 2024
Our adoption counselors found homes for 72 pets last week including a few long term residents – Roxanne, Mona Lisa and Alma. We’re so excited for the 53 cats and 19 dogs who found their match, and can’t wait to see who goes home this week. If you’ve been thinking of adding a furry friend to your family, now’s the purrfect time. Our humane center is participating in the nationwide Clear The Shelters adoption and donation campaign. From Friday, September 6 through Sunday, September 8, adopters can set their own adoption fees for all adult pets. We can’t wait to introduce you to our precious pets!

Roxanne: Roxanne went into foster care for a week and her fosters fell in love … but how could they not?! Roxanne said goodbye to the Richmond SPCA staff, and hello to a fur-ever home! Mona Lisa: Mona Lisa had been in our care since July and found her loving, lasting home last week! We’re so excited for this purrfect girl!
Alma: Alma had been in and out of our care since June, but found her match last week! We are so thrilled to be celebrating her adoption!

We received a sweet update from Slate and Tango’s adopter, Lauren. She says “Here are Harper and Higgins, formerly known as Slate and Tango! They were adopted July 24, and settling in well. We are so happy to have them!”
