We Were Adopted: September 2 – 8, 2024

Each day we’re working toward “goodbye” for the pets we love, and last week we waved farewell to 50 cats and 20 dogs. A few of our long term pets found their match during our Clear The Shelters event over the weekend including Trixie and Ukulele. Congratulations to all of our newest alumni and their guardians!

This week, we’re excited to be kicking off spooky season by celebrating Friday the 13th with our friends at the Poe Museum! Join us for a very special Black Cat Adoption Day, in partnership with Richmond Animal League from 1 – 4 p.m. This event is free to the public, and adoption fees for Richmond SPCA cats at the event will be $13. Please RSVP prior to the event.

Trixie: Trixie came into our care September 5, 2023 and exactly one year and one day later, she was adopted! We are so excited for Trixie and her new guardian.

Ukulele: Ukulele came into our care in April with some medical concerns that didn’t hold her back. This sweet girl finally found her match over the weekend, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
