We Were Adopted: October 28 – November 4, 2024

Last week, 62 cats and 17 dogs found loving, lasting homes including long term residents like Bombette and Rose! We are so excited for all of the precious pets who found their new best friends. Congratulations to our recent alumni and their wonderful adopters.

Richmond SPCA 26th Annual Fur Ball

Over the weekend, the 26th Annual Fur Ball took place, and it was the most successful yet! Our shelter veterinary services department budgeted to spend more than $1 million to deliver medical care to homeless animals this year, and we raised $824,000 of that budget. 

The event also paid special tribute to our director of veterinary services. For two decades Dr. Ivey has carefully used every dollar donated to the Cinderella Fund to deliver lifesaving veterinary care to more than 60,000 homeless animals who found hope and a new life at the Richmond SPCA.

We are so thankful for everyone who donated to help our most vulnerable pets.

Notable adoptions

Bombette: Bombette had been in our care since February, and finally found her loving, lasting home! We are so thrilled for Bombette and her new family. 💙

Rose: Rose came to us in June and found a family of her own over the weekend. Congratulations to Rose and her adopters!
