We Were Adopted: November 4 – 10, 2024

Posted on Monday, November 11, 2024

Last week, our adoption bell rang 87 times as we said goodbye to our most recent alumni! It was a great week for many of our long-term residents like Cranberry, Cyrano and GhouliaYelp who all found loving, lasting homes. Congratulations to our latest adoptees and their new guardians!

Notable adoptions

Cranberry: Cranberry had been with us since September, and last week found a place of his own to call home. We are so thrilled for sweet Cranberry and his new guardian!

Cyrano: Cyrano was first in our care in 2014 and was found stray in Hopewell this year and transferred back to us. During his veterinary visit, an enormous, ulcerated mass on the inside of his left back limb was discovered, and due to the size of the tumor, Dr. Molinas needed to perform an amputation. Sweet Cyrano spent some time in foster care to take space from the shelter while he healed. After recovering, he returned to the shelter and finally found his loving, lasting home! We even received an update from his adopter who said Cyrano is doing amazing. 💙

GhouliaYelp: GhouliaYelp is a sweet 4-month-old tortie who came into our care in October. During her intake, our staff discovered that she was positive for the feline leukemia virus (FeLV). This diagnosis made it hard for GhouliaYelp to find a home, and she stayed in our care longer than most kittens, but found her purrfect home over the weekend. Congratulations to GhouliaYelp and her adopter!
