We Were Adopted: December 16 – 22, 2024

Posted on Monday, December 23, 2024

Today we’re celebrating the adoptions of 52 cats and 17 dogs including long-term pets like Demi, Luther, Unleaded, Uranus and Wii! We are so excited for them and the rest of the precious pets who found loving, lasting homes just in time for the holidays.

We are closed December 24 and 25, but will reopen during regular business hours on Thursday, December 26 and we can’t wait to find your pawfect match!

Heartwarming moment of the week

Notable adoptions

Demi: Demi came into our care in October and was transferred into our humane center from North Carolina. Demi was one of the dogs affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, and she found a safe and welcoming temporary “home” with us until she found her own. We are so happy for Demi and her new guardians!

Luther: Luther is another pet who was transferred into our care after being evacuated from a shelter that was impacted by this year’s hurricane season. Luther came into our care in October, and finally found his loving, lasting home. We are thrilled for Luther and his new guardian!

Unleaded: We first met Unleaded in October when he was transferred into our humane center. He made so many friends with our staff, volunteers and trainers. After a couple of months in our care, we are so excited to share that Unleaded has found his new home!

Uranus: Uranus was transferred to us in October and became friends with so many staff members! He was a little shy and timid at first, but once he felt more comfortable, started to show off his true happy-go-lucky personality. We are so excited to share that he found his loving, lasting home last week!

Wii: Wii came into our care in October and was the sweetest boy! He tested positive for both feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) when he was first transferred in, making it a little harder to find his purrfect match. He finally found his loving, lasting home last week and we are so excited for him and his new family!
