We Were Adopted: February 17 – 23, 2025

We found pawfect matches for 51 pets last week! Our dedicated adoption counselors worked hard to find loving, lasting homes for 31 cats, 19 dogs and one rabbit. Congratulations to all of our wonderful adopters and newest alumni.

Heartwarming moment of the week
Notable adoptions
Cadence: Cadence came into our care in August and was such a sweet and loving pup. After six months at the Richmond SPCA, Cadence finally found her person. We are so thrilled for her and her new guardian.

LA Wildfire Dogs
We are so excited to share that Amor, Aphrodite and Dove found their match last week! These three sweethearts were transferred to us at the end of last month in efforts to aid in the LA wildfire recovery.

Alumni update
Valentino (now Teddy) was adopted last week and we received this sweet update from his adopters.
“Valentino is absolutely thriving in our home! We have decided to name him Teddy because he is an absolute teddy bear who loves to constantly snuggle. He is made of all things good! He has enjoyed going on walks to our neighborhood lake, playing in the snow, learning to play with toys, as well as being so gentle playing with our 3-year-old son Mason. They are two peas in a pod!
I fell in love with Teddy the second I saw him posted on your website; the day he was flown from California and I had been constantly refreshing your “available dogs” page to see if he was available. I checked Sunday morning and still did not see him and refreshed the page right at noon and saw his sweet face and told my husband to put on his shoes because we had to go get him! We are so thankful to have him in our home especially after having to painfully say goodbye to our 15 year old Jack Russell in September. We are a dog loving home that just had not been ok without having a dog to share it with and we know Teddy is the missing piece. We are so thankful for everyone who helped get him to us and are happy to talk to anyone! I have attached a few photos from the past few days.”
