Advanced Handling Skills & Course Analysis
March 8th to April 19
Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m.
Please review our Covid-19 training class policies before attending your first class.
Instructor: Sandi Pitini
This class will focus on advancing your skills in 1) reading the course layout to determine your best handling options; 2) improving your timing and instruction for changing your dog’s direction (including more advanced turns such as layered front crosses, layered landing side blinds and reverse spins); 3) training “sends” (such as a tunnel send) and 4) building your connection with your dog for getting distance. We will do some full courses with emphasis on sequences (jumpers and standard) designed to challenge and build these skills. All students will be expected to change jump heights to keep the class moving. Dogs and handlers should have a solid grasp and foundation of basic agility skills and control over your dog in the ring. This class is suitable for teams in the C and D level.
Seven-week, one-hour class in Track & Training Center
