Building Canine Confidence

August 10 – September 21, 2019 (no classes held on September 7)
Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.

Instructor: Alisha Fritz

Prerequisite: Canine Manners or another basic manners class is not required, but recommended.

Beginner to intermediate course for people who would like to help their dog become more confident when interacting with the world around them. This class will focus on skills for the dog, confidence building games, and team building games for dog and handler.  It is not a manners class, but instead uses a combination of exercises such as manners, tricks, basic agility equipment, games and puzzles to help the dog see that the world is not so scary. First class is for humans only.

This class is intended for dogs who are nervous but can still work and take food when in a public environment. If your dog shuts down and can’t respond in a class environment, dog owners are welcome to audit the class without their dog for a lesser fee and try the exercises at home. To audit the class without your dog, please call us at 804-521-1332.

All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and at least 6 months old. Spaying or neutering is strongly recommended.

Seven-week, one-hour class in Smoky’s Training Center.
