This is a basic manners course that shows you how to teach your dog the essential skills needed to succeed in everyday life. We will cover the following:

  • How dogs learn and the basics of clicker training
  • Getting and keeping your dog’s attention
  • Name recognition
  • Sit
  • Down
  • Stay
  • Come
  • Leave it
  • Not jumping on people
  • Keeping your dog’s attention and maintaining good behaviors even when you are not carrying food or other motivators and rewards

The manners covered in this course are a prerequisite for other classes or activities you may plan to do with your dog in the future. Canine Manners is suggested as one of the foundation classes for either sports or CGC classes. The first class is for people only.

All dogs must be 6 months or older, spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations.
