Private Lessons

Private lessons offer an option to work one-on-one with a trainer covering manners topics from our group classes and workshops in a format that allows for more personalized curriculum and attention from the trainer. Topics covered can include:

• Manners: attention, sit, down, stay, come, leave it
• Jumping
• Leash pulling
• And more

All private lessons are $60 per hour and are held at our training center or virtually. We do not offer training options off Richmond SPCA property.

If you would like a private lesson for advanced agility or another sport, please speak directly with your instructor. Not all instructors offer this service. If you are looking for help with a behavior problem for a dog or cat, please see our behavior consultation services.

Canine Good Citizen Testing

CGC tests are offered on a limited basis for those looking to join our Paws for Health therapy dog program or when required to obtain housing with your pet. To schedule a CGC test, contact Rheanna Miller at rmiller@richmondspca.org. CGC tests are $15 per half hour.
