Street Manners

June 15 – August 3, 2019 (no class held on July 6)
Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.

Instructor: Alisha Fritz

Prerequisite: Canine Manners or another basic manners class strongly recommended.

Intermediate level manners course with a focus on skills needed in the real world, especially during walks.  There will be a strong emphasis on leash pulling and dealing with distractions.  This class is especially beneficial for dogs who have difficulty responding to their handler outside of the home. First class is for humans only.

This class is not appropriate for most reactive dogs. Reactive dogs (those who frantically bark, pull, and lunge towards other dogs, moving objects, or people while on walks) who have had training to address this specific behavior may be allowed to attend with permission from the instructor.

Dogs should have been introduced to sit, down, stay, come and leave it. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and at least 6 months old. Spaying or neutering is strongly recommended.

Seven-week, one-hour class in Smoky’s Training Center.
