Tricks for All Types

March 28 – May 16, 2019 (no class on April 4)
Thursdays at 7:45 p.m.

Instructor: Alisha Fritz

Prerequisite: Canine Manners or another basic manners class is not required, but strongly recommended. Dogs should be familiar with skills such as sit, down, stay, and leave it.

Tricks are tons of fun and a great way to bond with your dog! In this Beginner through Advanced class we’ll discuss concepts such as catching and shaping while covering fun activities like roll over, riding a skate board, wave, and more! Dogs and handlers of all levels are encouraged to attend. In this class you work at your pace and comfort level. All are welcome whether you’ve taken tricks before or this is your first try.  The curriculum for this class is guided by the students and what tricks you would like to learn. Besides being an enjoyable activity, learning tricks can be a confidence builder for your dog and help them increase focus and body awareness. It also helps teach your dog to think and that it’s great to try new things! Dogs need to be under control when in the presence of other dogs and people. All classes will include dogs.

All dogs must be 6 months or older and current on vaccinations. Spaying or neutering strongly recommend.

Seven-week, one-hour class in Smoky’s Training Center.
