Leash Reactivity: What it is. What it isn’t. What to do.

Wednesday, March 1, 2023, 6:00-7:30

Instructor: Eileen Holst-Grubbe

Are walks with your dog not the joyful, bonding experience they should be? Dogs who react to various stimuli by barking, lunging and growling while on leash can be embarrassing, stressful and down right scary. Working with a qualified dog trainer is ideal, but may not be possible or accessible at the moment for a variety of reasons. Join us for Leash Reactivity: What it is. What it isn’t. What to do. and learn:

  • Why your dog is acting this way.
  • That understanding how your dog learns can be a key to success.
  • Alternative exercise options to leash walking
  • How enrichment can help
  • Training advice that can help
  • What popular advice can actually make things worse.
  • That you are not alone
