Critter Camp

Children’s Events and Camps

July 5 – 9, 2021

A Journey Through a Shelter (Rising 3rd – 6th grade)
Animal shelters play a crucial role in communities by taking in millions of homeless pets each year. In this camp your child will use their imagination and skills to understand what it takes to run an animal shelter. They will hear firsthand about the different roles needed and get hands-on experience promoting pets, hosting an adoption event and more. This will be a fun-filled learning experience!

Animal Advocates (Rising 4th – 6th grade)
Animal Advocates will provide your child with the opportunity to learn about the Richmond SPCA and explore the topic of animal welfare in our community. They will have the chance to make items for our shelter pets, help with daily tasks around our facility and discuss age-appropriate animal welfare issues that are important in today’s world.
