Bring your pup along for this History Hounds tour of Church Hill, presented in partnership with the Valentine. Explore the evolving history of one of Richmond’s oldest neighborhoods, from historic St. John’s Church and beautiful examples of Queen Anne architecture, to modern renovation efforts, scenic parks and a thriving restaurant scene.

Tour Notes:
- History Hounds Walking Tours are made possible through the partnership between the Valentine and the Richmond SPCA. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines, mix well with others (both human and canine) and remain on a leash. Pet guardians are responsible for water and cleaning up after their dogs.
- Advanced tickets are required. Tickets are non-refundable.
- Meeting location: meet at Patrick Henry Park
- Please note that this tour is 1.5 to 2 miles in length. We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes, use a non-extendable leash for your dog, bring water, a bowl and bags for pickup.
- Accessibility: People of all abilities are encouraged to join us. If we can do anything to accommodate your needs, please let us know in advance by emailing tours@thevalentine.org.
- Tours are held rain or shine. However, in extreme weather, a tour may be cancelled. Notifications about tour status and cancellation will be sent to registrants via email. You can also call 804-649-0711 x 301 to verify a tour will take place.
