This 1-session, 60-minute workshop will cover non-aversive techniques for training dogs to remain on the ground when greeting their human family and guests. We will discuss the differences between greeting or eliciting attention when humans are standing, sitting or in motion. We will also go over how to help with jumping due to excitement at times such as meals and while being leashed. Enrolled dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and at least 6 months old.

Items to bring:

  • Your dog wearing a flat collar or harness
  • 6′ leash, no retractable leashes or flexi leads
  • At least 3 types of soft treats your dog loves (hot dogs, cheese, chicken, etc.)
  • A training pouch or fanny pack (no plastic bags or pockets)
