Polite Walking Workshop

August 7, 2021
Saturday 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Please review our Covid-19 training class policies before attending your first class.

Instructor: Mariah Dudley

This workshop will discuss the reasons why dogs pull and how humans unintentionally teach their dogs to pull harder.   We will cover training and management techniques to make walks more enjoyable for both dogs and their human families.  Both humans and dogs will be moving a lot during this workshop.

Enrolled dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and at least 4 months old. This workshop is not appropriate for dogs who are reactive to people or other dogs (frantic barking/pulling/lunging).

Items to bring:

  • Your dog wearing a flat collar or harness
  • 4 or 6 foot leash, no retractable leashes or flexi leads
  • At least 3 types of soft treats your dog loves (hot dogs, cheese, chicken, etc.)
  • A training pouch or fanny pack (plastic bags and pockets will not work well)

90 minute workshop with dogs in Smoky’s Training Center.
