DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special dog-friendly tour of the Museum District\, presented in partnership with The Valentine Museum! Delve into the history of this residential neighborhood west of the Boulevard and learn how public art and cultural institutions continue to shape the district. \nTour Notes \n\nHistory Hounds Walking Tours are made possible through the partnership between The Valentine and the Richmond SPCA. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines\, mix well with others (both human and canine) and remain on a leash. Pet guardians are responsible for water and cleaning up after their dogs.\nAdvanced tickets are required. Tickets are non-refundable.\nPlease note that this tour is 1.5 to 2 miles in length. We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes\, use a non-extendable leash for your dog\, bring water\, a bowl and bags for pickup.\nAccessibility: People of all abilities are encouraged to join us. If we can do anything to accommodate your needs\, please let us know in advance by emailing tours@thevalentine.org.\nTours are held rain or shine. DESCRIPTION:On Thursday evenings in the spring and summer\, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden stays open in the evening for Flowers After 5\, and twice a month dogs are welcome to attend for Fidos After 5! \nIt's the perfect time to stroll through the gardens with your dog and enjoy beautiful flowers\, beverages\, live music\, and more. A suggested "pet admission" donation of any amount benefits the Richmond SPCA. \nLeashed pets are allowed on Fidos nights only. All dogs must be leashed and current on rabies vaccinations. Retractable leashes are not permitted. Flat leashes will be available to borrow from the Richmond SPCA's table. \nRegular Garden admission applies. $20 for adults; $15 for seniors; $15 for military; $10 for children ages 3 - 12; free for children under age 3 and free admission for Garden Members. Purchase your tickets today!  \nNote: Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden welcomes dogs in the Robins Visitor Center and Conservatory\, but asks that they not enter the Kelly Education Center building.
