The overwhelming majority of pets at our humane center are ones we have transferred into our care from government shelters where those animals’ lives were at risk. We urge you to consider every alternative to relinquishment before surrendering your pet to a shelter.

We schedule surrender assessments by appointment Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. To request an appointment, complete the form below or call 804-521-1306 for more information.
