Enter our humane center, which houses our sheltering operations, adoption center, Wilma’s Admissions Wing, our state-of-the-art Track & Training Center, our gift shop and our administrative offices, through the main entrance near the intersection of Hermitage Road and Rhoadmiller Street.

Veterinary hospital clients should use the third parking lot along Rhoadmiller Street when visiting our low-cost, full-service veterinary hospital and enter through the hospital’s designated entrance.

Enter our volunteer welcome center from the double doors facing our second parking lot along Rhoadmiller Street.

Our Lora Robins Gift Shop is located within our Robins-Starr Humane Center. As you enter our main entrance doors, turn to the left to find our shop. Our shop offers a wide selection of Richmond SPCA logo gear and apparel, dog and cat treats and toys, pet leashes, collars, crates, beds, cleaning supplies and more! All proceeds from your purchases benefit the homeless pets in our care.

Find our Track & Training Center on the second floor of our Robins-Starr Humane Center. Enter through the humane center’s main entrance, proceed up the stairs and to the left, or enter the stairwell from our second parking lot and proceed up to the second floor.

Training class participants should use the third parking lot along Rhoadmiller Street when visiting this training center, which is located in the same building as our Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital. Smoky’s has its own entrance to the right of the hospital’s entrance. Once you enter, proceed down the gallery. Smoky’s Training Center is located along the back wall of the building.

When dropping off or picking up your canine student, School for Dogs clients should use the third parking lot along Rhoadmiller Street and enter the same building as our Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital and Smoky’s Training Center. Please use the same entrance used to access Smoky’s, turn left at Smoky’s and proceed down the long hall to the School for Dogs area.

Housed in our former clinic space, Wilma’s Pet Support Services Wing is a dedicated area for new animals arriving into our care from a variety of government shelters where their lives were at risk. Our Pet Support Services wing is also where owner-surrender appointments are located, by appointment only. Visit our Pet Support Services lobby just to the right after you enter our Robins-Starr Humane Center.

The Richmond SPCA Smoky’s Spay & Neuter Clinic satellite location in Mechanicsville provides sterilization services to shelter and rescue organizations and community cat caregivers performing Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR).
