Let the Pets Call the Shots! 
JOIN THE RICHMOND SPCA GROUP

Join the Richmond SPCA and local animal welfare partners for Paws-itive Picks, a free community bracket challenge where pets and their humans take their best shot at predicting the tournament. Maybe you’ll trust the favorites; perhaps a few strategically placed treats will decide who advances, or – in our opinion – all dog and cat related mascots move on.  

Simply fill out your NCAA tournament bracket before the games begin, then follow along as the tournament unfolds. Bonus points if you involve your furry friend. Throughout March Madness, we’ll share pet-made picks, surprise upsets and plenty of lighthearted moments. It’s all part of the fun as animal lovers across the community see how their bracket stacks up.  

HOW IT WORKS

Participating is simple and free.  

  • Complete your NCAA tournament bracket using the link below. We strongly encourage entering under your pet’s name.  
  • Group: Richmond SPCA’s Paws-itive Picks! 
  • Submit your bracket before the first game tips off and brackets lock.  
  • Follow along throughout the tournament to see how your picks compare.  

We’ll share leaderboard updates and fun pet picks as the tournament unfolds on social media, so be sure to follow along  @RichmondSPCA. Share your own bracket moments and tag us using #PawsitivePicks so we can cheer you on.

  • Bracket deadline: March 19 before the first game tips off  
  • Tournament begins: March 19  
  • Winners announced: At the end of the tournament  

two ways to win

At the end of the tournament, we’ll crown two champions.  

Community Champion  
The participant with the highest scoring bracket will win a shelter pet swag bag packed with goodies for pets and their people.  

Top Animal Organization  
The participating animal organization with the highest scoring bracket will take home the Paws-itive Picks Top Dog Trophy and year-long bragging rights.
