Local artist Brie Hayden is sharing her talent to draw a realistic, hand-drawn pencil portrait of your pet!

Each pet’s face in a portrait is $175, with $45 from each pet portrait donated to the Richmond SPCA. Shipping is available at $25 per portrait.

Sketch-A-Pet portraits include:

8-by-10-inch unframed graphite sketch that will come wrapped and gift ready
Headshot only (pet’s head and neck)
One accessory (collar, bandana, etc.)

The first batch of 25 portraits will be completed by December 14, 2026
The second batch of 15 portraits will be completed by January 25, 2027

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Formerly a professional artist for Madame Tussauds, Brie Hayden became a full-time independent artist in early 2020. Her work primarily depicts detailed freehand drawings of antique bottles and animals in graphite on paper. Brie has an international collector base with her most notable collectors including actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, film director Brett Ratner, and executives of Proximo Spirits.

Brie regularly exhibits her work in juried shows around Virginia, while also taking on custom commissions. You can visit her work in Richmond at Crossroads Art Center and see other upcoming shows listed on her website.

1. Photos should be taken in clear lighting conditions, avoiding low-light photos that result in low-resolution. High-resolution images are preferred.

2. Photos taken at or near your pet’s eye level.

3. Look for a photo where your pet’s expression captures their personality and character.

4. Ensure your pet’s face is free from any obstructions, like toys in their mouth. If you have multiple suitable photos, feel free to share a few different angles or poses.
