Kitten Name-A-Thon: With a name you can give them a healthy start

It all starts with a name. That's the first thing any pet we bring into our care gets. A new name signifies the fresh start that begins at our doors. 

That's the name that goes on the medical chart to document their vaccines. The name goes on the kennel door to introduce them to the animal care technicians who've prepared fresh bedding and a bowl of food for their arrival. When they're ready for foster care, their name will be shared along with their photos asking volunteers to take them in until their next veterinary checkup. 

By donating $40 you can give a name and so much more to a kitten in the care of the Richmond SPCA. Your gift will be used to deliver essential vaccinations, supportive care and lots of while we prepare them for adoption. We'll send a photo of the kitten you've named, which makes a great gift!  

Complete the form below, and we’ll be in touch with you by Friday, May 10 with a photo of the kitten(s) who you named.

Naming guidelines:

• Names can consist of 11 characters max (letters and numbers are acceptable, spaces count as characters).
  
• Names must meet with Richmond SPCA approval and cannot be political or partisan in nature or in any way offensive.
  
• Some names may not be available if a pet in our care already has that name (that’s why we ask for two suggestions!) or if a name suggestion is deemed inappropriate. We’ll be in touch if there is an issue with your suggested pet name.
