Heartwarming moment of the week

Notable adoptions

Frida: Frida came into our care in May 2023, and after nearly three years with us, she finally met her perfect match last week! Frida made so many friends during her time here, both in the shelter and out in the community. She had quite the social calendar, too, making stops all around RVA. From the VMFA Frida Kahlo exhibit to Quirk Hotelโ€™s Frida Kahlo-themed room, and even Moore Subaru Richmond.

You may have even spotted her on the road, as her face made its way around town on car magnets. But thatโ€™s not all! She had her own hashtags, including #RVAFridaFan and #FridaFridayโ€ฆ she was kind of a big deal around here.

Weโ€™re so excited that Frida found her home. Huge congratulations to this sweet girl and her new family!

Chatter: Chatter came into our care in February and stole so many hearts! While with us, he was incredibly sweet and loved finding a nice lap to nap in. Chatter is positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV), which can often prolong a cat's stay with us. Luckily, someone didn't mind, and made Chatter a part of the family. Congratulations to this loving boy and his adopter!
