Rhoadmiller Street Detours

Utility work on Rhoadmiller Street in front of our humane center and hospital has temporarily changed how you get to the Richmond SPCA. We will update this page with changes to traffic patterns as needed.

Update for the week of September 7: All parking lots remain accessible. For now, Lot A can still be accessed from Hermitage as usual. At some point this week, that access may change, and we'll update this page as soon as we're notified. In the event that traffic is not allowed to access Rhoadmiller via Hermitage, please use the following detour to reach Lot A. One entrance to Lot A will always remain open throughout construction.

While ongoing construction in the area may cause temporary disruptions, this work is being conducted by third parties and is not related to our organization's operations or projects.

Parking

Lot A
This is the best lot to use for our humane center’s main entrance:

• Adoption Center
• Birthday parties
• Pet Support Services
• Pet Pantry
• Drop off for Critter Campers
• Donation drop off
• Training class students
• Volunteer groups

Lot B
This lot is nearest to our Volunteer Welcome Center.

• Staff and volunteers
• Training class students
• Overflow parking for the humane center
• Pickup for Critter Campers

Lot C
This lot is nearest to our Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital and Smoky’s Training Center.
