Even with the best care and a devoted staff, no shelter can replace a loving home. Waiting to find a family can take its toll on even the most resilient pet. 

Right now, the Richmond SPCA has more than 60 dogs waiting for a family, and new homeless dogs arrive at our center every day. 

From September 7 through 11, adoption fees for all dogs 6 months and older are waived. Our adoption center is open on Labor Day with regular hours, so it's a great day to start your search.
