Explore Hollywood Cemetery with your pup on this History Hounds tour, presented in partnership with the Richmond SPCA. On a spectacular bluff overlooking the James River, learn about the story of Richmond’s iconic cemetery — the final resting place for many famous Virginians.

• History Hounds Walking Tours are made possible through the partnership between the Valentine and the Richmond SPCA. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines, mix well with others (both human and canine) and remain on a leash. Pet guardians are responsible for water and cleaning up after their dogs.
• Advanced tickets are required. Tickets are non-refundable.
• Please note that this tour is 1.5 to 2 miles in length. We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes, use a non-extendable leash for your dog, bring water, a bowl and bags for pickup.
• Accessibility: People of all abilities are encouraged to join us. If we can do anything to accommodate your needs, please let us know in advance by emailing tours@thevalentine.org.
• Tours are held rain or shine. However, in extreme weather, a tour may be cancelled. Notifications about tour status and cancellation will be sent to registrants via email. You can also call 804-649-0711 x 301 to verify a tour will take place.
