We're thrilled to share that we found matches for 93 pets last week! Our incredible adoption counselors found homes for pets like Little Gem, Cindy, Calliopei and Rosemarie. Congratulations to our newest alumni and their guardians!
If you've been thinking about adopting a furry friend, there's no better time than now! We’re excited to be participating in Clear the Shelters, sponsored in loving memory of Betty J. Parmer. This sponsored adoption event is happening now through August 24.
We hope you'll stop by the Richmond SPCA to meet the wonderful pets waiting for homes. We can't wait to help you find your perfect match!

Notable adoptions
Rosemarie: Rosemarie is an incredibly sweet girl with the biggest smile! She came into our care in March and began her journey to finding her person. During her time with us, she made several friends and even enjoyed a break from the shelter when she took a little vacation in foster care. We're excited to share that Rosemarie has been adopted. Congratulations to this happy girl and her guardian!

Calliopei: Calliopei was a precious kitty who had been in and out of our care since October 2024. During that time, she was adored by staff and made many friends. Though shy at first, she slowly began to open up and enjoy company. Last week, her wait finally ended when she found her purrfect match. Congratulations to this sweet girl and her new person!

London: London was a precious puppy who was in and out of our care since May. She adored our trainers and always loved to learn. After several months in our care, this adorable 6-month-old found her lasting, loving home. We are jumping with joy for London and her new person!
