Partnership for the Future Internship

The Richmond SPCA offers a paid internship program through Partnership for the Future with the purpose of introducing individuals of diverse backgrounds to not only the field of animal welfare, but also to nonprofit work. It is our goal to cultivate and develop a diverse pipeline of candidates by offering paid internships across a multitude of departments within our organization.

The ideal student intern will bring with them skills, interests and experience that will inform the focal area of the internship. Examples of possible internship focal areas include veterinary science, video creation and editing, children’s humane education programming support, nonprofit management, animal care and training, and event planning and fundraising. The goal of the internship program is to provide each student intern with a meaningful and professionally beneficial experience that also supports the goals and mission of the Richmond SPCA.

To learn more about Partnership for the Future’s paid student internship program, please visit the PFF website. You may also contact our Manager of Employee Engagement Gray Miller at gmiller@richmondspca.org.
