Training and Enrichment

Here at the Richmond SPCA, our animal behavior & training team works hard every day to ensure that each of the animals in our shelter are happy as well as healthy. Veterinary Care

Veterinary supplies are crucial to caring for all of the pets in our shelter. Items on this list help us to provide medical attention to those who need it most.

Foster Care

Our Foster Care program allows our pets to spend time outside of our shelter while they remain in our care. Our wonderful foster care volunteers help ensure the safety and comfort of our pets while they are recovering from medical procedures, or just waiting to meet their perfect match.

Donation drop-off instructions

To deliver donation items in-person, please come to our humane center at 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23220 during our donation drop-off hours. When you arrive, please part in the lot in front of the building and come in the front door. Let our front desk associate know you are dropping off a donation and you will be asked to leave your item(s) on a donation cart in the lobby of our humane center.

Drop-off hours:

Mondays: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesdays – Fridays: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturdays: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sundays: Noon to 5 p.m.

Shop online for our pets

Our Amazon and Chewy wish lists have much-needed items that you can order online and have sent directly to our shelter and veterinary hospital.

Youth Fundraising

Children can help the animals in our care by organizing a donation drive for the items on our wish list or by completing one of our suggested craft projects.
