2026 Summer Camp registration opening February 3

Every summer we offer fun and educational week-long day camps for children between the ages of 6 and 13. Compassion Unleashed Critter Camp is a terrific educational opportunity for animal-loving children to visit and learn more about the Richmond SPCA! Week-long day camps are hosted all summer at our humane center. All sessions will include daily animal interactions.

2026 camp dates are listed below. Full camp details will be added in mid January, and registration will open on February 3, 2026. Join our Humane Education email list to get the latest information on our programs.

Extended stay options are available between half-day camps and for late pickup. Review our camp refund policy.

Critter Camp Counselor recruitment will begin in January! Please complete our interest form to be contacted when we post our available positions for Summer 2026.

Extended Stay

Late Pickup: We will offer an extended stay option for $40 per camper per week to extend the 4 p.m. pickup time by one hour to 5 p.m.

Camp refund policy

Every effort will be made to accommodate enrollment changes based on session capacities. Cancellations made prior to two weeks before camp are entitled to a refund; refunds are subject to a $25 drop fee. Refunds will not be available for cancellations made within two weeks of the start date of camp.
