Agility B/C

June 23 – August 11, 2019 (no class held July 7)
Sundays at 3:45 p.m.

Instructor: Mel Hardwick

Prerequisite: completed Agility B or equivalent

Agility B/C For dogs and handlers who have completed Agility B but need to solidify their performance on all the various pieces of agility equipment. Students will continue to improve their handling skills (turns/crosses/jump sequences) over jumps and tunnels — and will also get plenty of opportunity to improve their performance of the teeter, a-frame and dog walk. Contact obstacle heights will be adjusted in class and instructors can discuss both 2-on-2-off and running contact strategies. Students will get additional exposure to weave poles and given suggestions for how to create practice poles for additional work at home. Dogs and handlers will gain more experience in sequences. Note that most dogs and handlers take Agility B/C several times in order to polish all of the various equipment skills.

All dogs must be 6 months or older and current on vaccinations. Spaying or neutering strongly recommend.

Seven-week, one-hour class in Track & Training Center.
