What You Need for Virtual Training Classes

To participate in virtual training classes at the Richmond SPCA, you will need to have access to Zoom video conferencing software. If you are using a laptop or desktop computer, please visit zoom.us to set up a free Zoom account. If you are using a smartphone or tablet, please download the Zoom app prior to class. You will be emailed a Zoom meeting invitation prior to the start of your virtual class. Please view this instructional video on how to join a Zoom meeting if you are unfamiliar with the software.

You will also need:

  • A working webcam and microphone. Most smartphones, tablets and laptops have internal microphones and cameras, but many desktop computers may not.
  • That’s it! However, please test your camera and microphone prior to class. Additionally, please make sure your camera is set up in a way that your instructor can see both you and your dog (for sessions with dogs).
