four-legged fun for kids!

Winter Critter Camp

Winter Critter Camp is a fantastic, fun-filled educational time for animal-loving children! Campers will have fun with arts and crafts while they learn how an animal shelter operates.

Please read the Richmond SPCA Covid-19 policies for Critter Camp 2021 prior to registering for camp.

Woofing Wizard Camp (children ages 8 – 12)
Join us at the Richmond SPCA for a day full of exploring the wizarding world! Campers will be making wands, learn about magical creatures and sort our adoptable animals into wizard houses. Your child will create food and drink from their favorite literary wizarding world. Please include all food allergies when registering for camp. Campers are encouraged to dress the wizarding part, but not required.

Kindness Camp (children ages 6 – 11)

Kindness camp is a unique hybrid camp where participants learn how an animal shelter operates while also volunteering. Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to, animal care support, cat & dog enrichment, laundry, organizing and much more . Kindness camp can be used to satisfy volunteer requirements for schools or youth organizations.

Marvelous Mutts Camp (children ages 6 – 11)

Campers will build self-confidence as they become their own superheroes. At this full-day camp, campers will create a superhero identity, create a comic and spend time with our super animals. Campers are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero, but not required.
