We were adopted: June 22 – 28, 2020

Posted on Monday, June 29, 2020

June is Adopt a Cat Month and we are excited to see that people are celebrating by adopting our homeless cats and kittens! This past week, 50 fantastic felines met their purr-fect matches, while 14 precious pups found lasting companions. Congratulations to our new adopters and our 64 new alumni!

If you are interested in adding a dog or cat to your family, please fill out our adoption survey and then call our Adoption desk at 804-521-1300 or email adoption1@richmondspca.org. Our counselors are calling back interested adopters in the order their inquiry was received and will provide adoption counseling over the phone. We look forward to uniting you with your next feline or canine companion!

Please note that in observance of Independence Day, the Richmond SPCA’s administrative offices and the Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2020 and the adoption center will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Please check our website for new information and details related to our planning and related operational changes, as that is where we will be posting updates. This is a fluid situation, and we are planning thoughtfully while also being nimble to make changes as necessary to best protect our community’s pets and the people who love them.
